From 1st – 22nd July, the Transform Leatherhead team will be consulting with the public on short and long term proposals for improving the High Street and showing in detail the wider transport options being considered to improve connectivity around the town.
Councillor Bridget Kendrick, Cabinet Member for Projects said, “We have been working with expert consultants Arcadis on the vital High Street Improvement study. In July we are inviting everyone to share their views on the proposed long and short-term options. The proposals have been put together through studies and engagement with a wide range of key stakeholders, including local businesses, residents, access groups and Surrey County Council. You can join us at one of our public exhibitions at the Swan Centre or the Leatherhead Institute, or take part online from 1 – 22 July.
“Alongside the consultation in July, we will be demonstrating how the traffic modelling work by experts WSP, has identified a shortlist of options to improve connectivity for traffic, pedestrians and cyclists in and around Leatherhead. These options will be taken forward in two ways – a detailed feasibility study and strategic and major road network improvements by Surrey County Council.”
