Dorking Halls Closure

Councillor Stephen Cooksey, Leader of Mole Valley District Council said, “Following yesterday’s Government announcement, Dorking Halls will be closed from today. The building will be closed to the public, and all shows and films will be cancelled. We hope to re-open the Halls on Monday 20 April, although of course this will be kept under constant review and decisions will be taken in line with Government advice.

“The Government announcement stated that to help contain the spread of the Coronavirus all non-essential socialising should stop and people should avoid theatres.

“We realise this will be disappointing news, but we must prioritise the safety and wellbeing of our visitors and staff.

“If you have tickets for any of the cancelled shows or films up to 19 April our Box Office team will be contacting you directly. If the closure period is extended, we will be in touch with those who have booked future shows as early as possible.

“We will continue to keep everyone updated on our website (www.dorkinghalls.co.uk), Twitter (@DorkingHalls) and Facebook (@dorkinghalls) pages.

“I want to thank all our customers for their patience and understanding during this difficult time.”
